Kimberly Arrives in France - Dinner at 'Snail Restaurant' - La Cagouille

Today we drove over to Toulouse to pick up Kimberly. We made a quick stop at the Victor Hugo market to stock up on Saucisse Toulouse, Cassoulet and Frommage of course! We made it to the market 10 minutes before they closed, so we divided and conquered. I must say that I definitely love this market, even in a rush.

After our market stop and some lunch, we found the mandatory carousel for London.

Now the weather had turned and it was beginning to rain, so we loaded into the car and headed toward the airport to get Kimberly. We made a few incorrect turns and ended up in the middle of a school zone with the kids being dismissed from school. It was pretty cute.

Once we picked up Kimberly, we had the joy of sitting in Toulouse traffic for an extended period of time. When we finally made it home, it was a unanimous decision to save our market food for tomorrow and go out to dinner.

There is a restaurant 3 km away from our chateau called La Cagouille, with a huge snail on the sign. This seemed like the perfect place for Kimberly's welcome dinner! London had an experience in France that we had never had before - white sandwich style bread with butter! French Wonder Bread! It was so yummy! Of course she had an amazing fish dinner, but we were all mesmerized with the wonder bread and dessert!

Long and exciting day makes for a sleepy baby
