A Drive to Heaven....A Group Tasting at Chateau Palmer, Margaux

Today we have an appointment at Chateau Palmer in Margaux, could this be a better day? We are a little concerned about the rain and cold weather as we have been having some weather issues, but we all load into our caravan and head off to Margaux.

As we are driving toward Margaux, I notice that we must be getting closer to 'heaven' because the blue skies are opening up and the day is looking pretty good!

We all meet at the Office of Tourisme in Margaux, honestly, I'm not quite sure why, but it turns out they have all the Margaux wines available for purchase as well as some wonderful touristy items. Steve found a nice sized wine glass.....

Once we all finish purchasing some goods, we walk over to the La Savoie for lunch.

Brrr, It's getting a little chilly....

This restaurant is known for their Lamb  (um, aren't they all?). So we all started with warm goat cheese purses....sounds amazing! It was!

We got the bill just in time and headed across the street to our appointment at Chateau Palmer.
