This morning I got up for a run along the beach and I didn't make it very far when I happened upon the Bandol market. I made it down the hill and then it was quite crowded everywhere with people. I love a good market so I promptly turned around and dropped off my headphones for my wallet. Steve and London were having a blast on the beach so I headed back to the market to check out the goods!
After about an hour or so of the market I headed to the beach to meet London and Steve. We took advantage of one of the hotel restaurants right on the beach. The lunch was amazingly delicious and the best part was that London could play during lunch with the other kids. LOVE IT!

Once we left the beach and cleaned up we headed out for a drive to explore the area and vineyards and maybe find the Brangelina estate that is close by!
We had no luck in the Brangelina estate but we did find the favorite of our dear friends Aaron & Wende so we thought we would try to track down the vineyard. Unfortunately there was a nasty storm coming in and the road to the vineyard had a 'deviation' and was the steepest roads that didn't seem like a good idea. There will be another day to find this vineyard, we can buy the wine down in Bandol! Time to beat the storm off this mountain!
We rolled into Bandol just as the storm was rolling in. Where is this weather coming from? The locals swear this is abnormal, but it has been raining every afternoon as if we are in Florida! At least it cools down our evenings.
Once we got back into Bandol we of course headed toward the Carousel. We have to get a ride (or 3) out of the way before dinner!!!! The boats near the carousel amused me....does this Dingy actually have 'Gucci" painted on it?

Does this dingy boat say GUCCI???? |

Dinner consisted of Bouillabaisse for us and fish for London at one of the restaurants along the port. Great views with Champagne....who could complain?!?

What's for dessert??? |
|
We saw our neighboring table get this 'baked alaska type' dessert and we had to have it! On the menu it was called a 'Norwegian Omelet' which sounds awful for dessert. But it is actually just custard in meringue and then lit on fire (which was London's favorite part) |
