Chalon sur Saone Market



A look around the market which is in the Cathedral square.  Would like to know if anybody understands or can explain the white asparagus.  We bought some and grilled and it was like eating straw.  How do we cook these monsters?

  1. Peel off the top layer and boil or steam them. Hollandaise sauce drizzled over the top of them is delicious! :)
