GT Race at Paul Ricard in Castellet

We headed out to the GT races at the Paul Ricard Race Track today. We have no idea what we are walking into but we were curious and it sounds really cool. This was the Blancpain GT Race so we are guaranteed to see some amazing cars at least.
When we arrived we were quite early. Turns out they were doing time trials and then there was a Lamborghini race at 4:00 pm. The main race wasn't until 7:00 pm and I'm not sure if we will make it that long. There are some amazing cars and sights here today. The sound of the cars going by on the track for the time trials is fantastic! There is nothing like that sound. I don't see myself as a fan of NASCAR, but I can completely get into the sound of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys and Porsches running the track!

Ready for the Race!

HELLO Amazing Cars!!!!

Heading out for the Time Trial

I was intrigued how they pull the cars to the track.

Quite a lot of 'backup' tires for today

An onsite Medical Centre - Yikes!

A few cars sitting out to oogle

London wasn't impressed with the orange car.

I think she prefers this little white number!
As we are walking around the grounds, each maker has their own area to display their cars and low and behold my 'retirement car' was on display! Once London is out of carseats/booster seats and meet the weight limit for front seats this little number will be mine! It is exactly as I described many times in the past to Steve. I'm pretty sure he ignored me in the past but once this was sitting there he kind of fell in love with it too!
I think I look good with this car!

Hello Lover!!!! Sherry's new ride!
The girls new car

Yes, we will take it AS IS.

Can you please ship this to Texas!?!
Once Steve, Mike and Jean pulled me away from my future car, we headed in to have lunch overlooking the track. The Paul Ricard is a pretty cool track and this is quite a fun day of people watching.

London has her team flag.

When is the race???

I think I can fit in the driver's seat!

Waiting for the race with a bottle of rose wine

London at the bar ordering a 'cafe' for mom!

Steve, Mike and London are scouting out a good vantage point for the race

Race Time yet?
The 4:00 Lamborghini Race is getting ready to begin and we are located just above the pit row. This should be a blast. The only downfall was our lack of race experience and not bringing London some earplugs.
Looks like things are starting to happen

Race is over and we are so happy that this car wasn't needed - the DOCTOR car!

We head back to Bandol for the evening festivities. We thoroughly enjoyed the day at the race and kind of wish the GT race would have been a little earlier so we could have stayed. But now it's time to head to Bandol to clean up and head to dinner at KVB in Gourmet Alley!
As we were walking to dinner there had just been a wedding at the church in Bandol. The flower petals were still all over the ground which led for a fun time for London.

Upon closer review, these are fabric flower petals. Who is cleaning these up?

Wedding Petal Fun in Front of the Church

This looks like Elsa's glass!
A favorite dish at KVB - Gambas wrapped in glass noodles as a lettuce wrap!

Only Jean can befriend a cat while walking home from dinner in France

Seriously Jean, You can't take that cat home! ;->
