Today is the day that we leave our 'Home away from Home - Lourmarin' and head to the Cote d-Azur for a new adventure. It has been wonderful being in Lourmarin and it is so comfortable for all of us to be back. But now it's time to head to the beach!
Due to the wonderful market and many purchases in Lourmarin, we have quite a few things to pack. So I sent Steve and London to breakfast at the hotel and then gave London her camera to take some photos so that I could have some peace to pack. Her lovely photography skills are below - I was actually quite impressed!

Only Steve and London could find the local school music rehearsal and attend. I love it! |

The car is loaded, let's make one more trip around town! |

'Dad, Isn't this the car that is in our photograph at home in Dallas?' |
Yes it is! |
Love this girl and love this village! |
Once we bid farewell to Lourmarin, we headed south to the Cote d'Azur - Bandol to be exact. We were supposed to check in at 3:00 so even with some stops along the way we will be a little early.
Bonjour Bandol, we are happy to be here! |
Well the apartment isn't quite ready so what to do?? Have a glass of rose wine of course! Our first official stop in Bandol.
We quickly got the keys and the tour to our apartment (which is wonderful) and as we were settling in we heard some excitement off the balcony. London ran out to the balcony and announced that a marathon was going up our street. Apparently the Bandol Classic is June 15th every year. It is a 12.2 mile marathon where costumes are encouraged. What a pleasant welcome to our new town! |
Once we were settled in it was time to find a spot for dinner. There are lots of brasseries along the marina so we selected on and settled in for some fresh seafood.
Dinner and a 'Coupe de Champagne' on the beach - it doesn't get any better |
Some crazy kid dessert that she loved |
We are FULL! |
Once dinner was over we thought we would go and visit the beach by the apartment, Renecros. I cannot believe how beautiful it is and that the sun is just setting. What perfect timing. London had a lot of fun frolicking in the surf and fortunately (?) she wore her bathing suit bottom (only) so she could swim. Quite French of her!
'See Mom, I am keeping my dress dry' |
'Uh-oh, it might have gotten a little wet' |
'MOM!!! My dress is wet, I need to take it off' |
Our little French baby - dress is off and time to swim! |
I can't believe this is our front yard for the next 3 weeks |
'Dad, I'm ready to swim!' |
Coppertone Baby |
I'm pretty sure someday she won't appreciate these photos. ;-> |
She seriously adapted to the french beach lifestyle quickly! |
So pretty - I am in awe |
What a beautiful sunset
XOXOXO |
