Victor Hugo Market & Plancha de Poissons Lunch

Today we are taking Grammy & Pappy to  their hotel in Toulouse so they can catch their flight tomorrow. It seems like a perfect time for a group trip to introduce Adam, Renee & Annika to the Victor Hugo market.

The trip is coming to an end with Grammy & Pappy's departure.;( But we will have some 'market fun' before they go!

We parked in the impossibly compact parking garage and headed down to the market. This is truly an amazing market and I am never disappointed when we stop here. The only issue is that we don't have enough days left to prepare/eat the food we are surrounded by.

London isn't too impressed by the smells of the seafood, cheese and charcuterie at the market

After a few small purchases we couldn't refuse - frommage, saucisson Toulouse, pastries, we headed upstairs for a treat for lunch. Above the Victor Hugo market is a long & narrow area with 6 different restaurants specializing in different aspects of the market - beef, fish, Toulouse specialties, etc. We opted for the fish restaurant, Plancha de Poissons. There was quite an assortment of grilled fish and seafood specialties with the staple classic dishes.

Annika's face after eating the Dorade Royale's eyeball!!!! I'm still impressed!

London enjoying a white chocolate, pistachio, raspberry tart for dessert.
Leaving the market in search of some shopping and the carousel. Mmmmm, look what we found!!!!

Carousel High-5 Game

Carousel High-5

I'm pretty impressed, we are exiting the carousel without tears or a pouty lip!

After lunch, guess where we headed with the girls....the carousel of course! They indulged in quite a few rides and then we took Grammy & Pappy to their hotel. We are certainly going to miss them! French Chateau living isn't the same without Pappy & Grammy!
