Today we are headed to Nice for a day of shopping and sightseeing! These were our views while we had breakfast at Le Roquebrune. I cannot say how much we love the ladies that run this B&B. They were amazing to London and we had the most wonderful food and people around us at all times!
London & I on the balcony....it's too beautiful, this is going to be a fabulous day!
Breakfast views.....London wanted to know why we took her away from her yummy French breakfast for pictures.....who can blame her!!!!! I agree!!!!
Back to the table for croissants, cheese, eggs, ham, fresh fruit, coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice! Even breakfast here takes an hour and a half!!!! ;->
OK, we are full and happy and dressed for the Promenade d'Anglais in Nice!!!! Bring on the shopping!!!!!
Nice was only 15 minutes away from our B&B by mountain road. (Quite close to the road where Princess Grace had her accident for anyone who enjoys Hollywood/Royal gossip) Although once we got into Nice we were a little turned around but we finally found a place to park close to the amazing hotels and shopping on Promenade d'Anglais!
Hmmm, a pink scooter??? Or as London calls it, a pink biker chic???? Love it!
What to do in Nice??? We think a drink in a cafe to decide is the right thing to do!!!!!
Walking into the square, headed to the Mediterranean
A little shopping along the way.....
London loves all the flowers and has to stop and pick a few!
Hmmmmm, Jean Paul Gaultier has Diet Coke bottles in Nice???? Isn't Steve so trendy and fashionably french???? ;->
Ahhhhhh, the ocean!!!!!
We made it to the Promenade d'Anglais!!!!
Soooooo beautiful!!!!!
It couldn't be better weather and such beautiful scenery
Family photo.....what a rare occurrence. Thank you to the couple from Australia for giving us a moment of their time and taking photos.
Ahhhhh, gorgeous!!!!!
With my study of the French language and the difficulties, I'm completely enjoying the French-English translations......What exactly is 'Devil Sexy Beef???'
Steve is wondering.....'Hmmmmm, where are all the topless women we have heard so much about????'
I'm loving the French Riviera with my family!
Oh yes!!!! We have found macarons at a patisserie. I'm certain London will eat France out of all pink macarons!!!!!
We find a place for lunch.....pizza is simply amazing this close to Italy!
This little oddly colored pigeon with an injured foot loved London and her ability to drop food on the ground. This was like our local Chloe!
There is some amazing display of wealth on the Riviera. The cars are beautiful, but my love are the yachts.....I would be OK with this one......it will do. ;->
Steve disagrees, he was a bit speechless at this $2 million Bugatti parked on the street!!!!! How exactly do you parallel park $2 million dollars?!?!?!?!?!
What a great day in Nice. We headed back to the B&B in Roquebrune for another wonderful dinner in the small dining room with the guests. Mary was back to entertain and instruct London on her French lessons and manners and we simply had a blast. Patricia, the owner of the B&B sat with us after dinner and told us countless stories about the war and her family and their connections. I wish we could publish the knowledge and stories that she has to offer, I could have sat with her for endless hours listening!!! Tomorrow she brings us to La Pausa, Mademoiselle Coco Chanel's Rivera retreat, because she said today's weather wasn't worth wasting on real estate and we must explore Nice. Thank you Patricia, as we had an amazing day!!!
Finally, a beautiful day for you!!! Love the family pic; I have dozens of photos of everyone but me! Price paid for being the family historian, I guess.
ReplyDeleteSherry, loving the shoes sista! ;)
