Greatest Sunday Market - Isle Sur La Sorgue

Today was the Presidential election in France. Steve made his way to the Mairie in Puyvert to check out the local elections. I'm pretty sure this election could be easily 'rigged' based on their voting process. Basically it was described that you walk in, show your French residency card, pick up an envelope and two sheets of paper with Sarkosy and Holland printed on them. Then you walk into a private room and put your choice in the envelope and disregard the other paper and then place the envelope in a box. (Doesn't this sound like you could say - hello recount, Florida elections of 2000???)

Then we were off to Isle Sur la Sorgue for the market and lunch. Funny thing, we thought this past Sunday was Mother's Day. I'm not complaining, I got to celebrate two mother's days!!! ;-> Anyway, we had a great time at the market and of course London picked up some soaps and it is always fun to make a tower with them at the lunch table. ;->

 This local restaurant was on the water in Isle Sur la Sorgue, it was so beautiful and the food was great. (Of course, is the food ever not great in this country???) This was a first though, London's dessert plate was covered with powdered sugar so she literally licked her plate clean! ;->

 See, as I said we got wonderful Mother's days wishes.....a week early. ;->

 After London ate her dessert, she made her way to Grammy's dessert plate.....can you blame her??? Smart girl!!!

 After lunch, we are walking around and enjoying the views of Isle Sur la Sorgue.

 Oh no,  looks like the carousel vendor isn't letting Pappy enjoy the helicopter ride....Poor Pappy. I actually think it took him longer to get out of this that to get into it!!!! ;-> I couldn't stop laughing!!!

 Looks like Pappy would have preferred the helicopter rather than the monster truck on the carousel!!!!!
