Avignon - Grammy & Pappy Arrive

Well, the day has finally come that London has been requesting since we arrived in France - Pappy & Grammy arrive in Provence!!! We head to Avignon in the morning to pick them up from their TGV from Paris. Needless to say, we have one very excited girl in the car the entire way to Avignon. I'm pretty sure she hasn't even come down from the cloud that she is on since they arrived!

What a surprise when they arrived....Pierre Herme macarons from Paris!!!!! OMG!!! These are so amazing I don't think I will eat another macaron while we are here. These are little bites of heaven!

 After we picked up Grammy & Pappy from the train station, we headed to Les Halles, the well-known market in Avignon. It was sensory overload with all the produce, cheeses, patisseries, meats, spices, seafood, etc. I just walked around the entire building in awe until I finally made my plan of attack. ;-> It was absolutely amazing, I wish we had this for grocery shopping in the US.

 The spice booth was my absolute favorite. They had special spices for omelets, potatoes, seafood, etc.

 And then guess what we found....Pappy & London hit the carousel.

 Headed home for dinner. Nothing quite welcomes you to France like a magnum of 2004 Chateau Mont-Redon!!! We are glad you are here Pappy & Grammy!
