After our drive to Cassis, I think we all agreed to take a few days away from the car and just enjoy the house, pool and Lourmarin. The weather couldn't be better, in fact it has gotten quite hot and the pool water has warmed up significantly. So the rest of our week was spent enjoying lazy Provencal days by the pool with the local rose wine, our favorite books and silly, fun conversations. This is the life!!!!
It's still a little too cold for London....I don't blame her. But the water is definitely warming up quickly.
London loves to make dad 'walk the plank.'
Gotta love "Poolboy Stephen"
Thursday night was the last night in Provence for Kimberly and Robben. So we took them to our favorite restaurant in Lourmarin, L'Antiquaire, better known to London as 'David's.' Huck and Kathleen have just arrived in Puyvert, so we have a large and happy crown for dinner. As usual it was a wonderful dinner - great food, great wine, great company! But my daughter's crush on David is getting stronger and stronger!!! I think he is quite smitten with her as well. ;->
After dinner David takes London into the kitchen so she can select her dessert!!!
Hmmmmm, yummy pink ice cream!
After she finished her dessert, she headed to dad's lap to have some of his dessert too!!! The girl likes her French sweets!!!
After our dessert, David treats us to a local after dinner Thyme-infused liqueur. It was so unusual and amazing. London didn't want to be left out so she had a special grenadine after dinner drink - pink of course!!!
"Sante" with London & David
My sassy little girl!!!! We actually saw her blush few times tonight!!!!
Once we get home, London heads straight to Kimberly & Robben's room to 'help' them pack. She is certainly going to miss them. I had to laugh at this picture from their room....my little Rapunzel.....let down your hair!!! :->
What a great few days of relaxing and enjoying our friends and family!!!
